Adoption Timeline

The adoption journey is long and thorough and we're thankful the systems in place try to ensure that orphans are being matched with loving, dedicated and intentional families. But, dang, it's hard :) We'll keep this timeline updated as we move toward bringing our child home.

We expect for our child to come home in late Spring 2016. Any sooner would be absolutely wonderful.

2015

January 29 - Mailed LOA & I800
January 29 - Hard LOA
January 26 - Soft LOA
December 14 - LID
December 1 - DTC
November 3 - Received I-800a Appoval via mail
October 30 - Immigration I-800a Approval
October 19 - Received fingerprints at USCIS office
October 19 - Received 1-800A Fingerprinting Card
September 25 - Received Referral Pre-Approval (PA)
September 21 - USCIS submission/application
September 18 - Home Study Approval

September 14 - Home Study submission
August 23 - LOI sent
August 22 - Acceptance of Referral
August 12 - First saw Referral (swoon!!)
July 27 - Mailed Orientation Packet to AGCI

July 15 - Accepted to Home Study Agency

July 14 - Orientation call with AGCI

July 14 - Received Orientation Packet

July 8 - Committed to China with AGCI

June 12 - Application accepted through AGCI

June 8, 2015 - Emailed application to All God's Children International (AGCI)
